This, in turn, leads to costly and sometimes unaffordable heating/cooling bills.
Whether there is 48-hour shut off notice or a costly energy bill, EOC's Home Energy Assistance and Energy Crisis Intervention programs (HEAP/ECIP) can assist eligible Fresno County residents annually with a payment toward their PG&E bill; wood, propane, oil, or gas bill; PG&E 48-hour notice, or PG&E shut off.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for HEAP and ECIP, applicants must:
- be a Fresno County resident
- be low-income
- have a valid social security card
- provide current income verification (pay stubs of previous 6 weeks)
- present personal ID such as a driver's license, California ID, and/or valid US identification
- provide pages 1-3 of current energy bill or 48-hour notice or shut off
- provide a current receipt of wood, propane, home heating oil, or gas
*Individual/family may only apply and receive program assistance once a year.
